Evan Fournier Feels Like He Has a Concussion from COVID

Evan Fournier was interviewed post game following the Celtics loss against the Portland Trail Blazers. In his best performance since returning from COVID-19, Fournier dropped 21 PTS on 8-10 shooting (5-7 from three) to go along with 5 REB, 3 AST, and 2 STL. When asked on his recovery and symptoms Fournier said “the thing is, I feel like I have a concussion.

Right now, it’s actually doing a little bit better. But at first, the bright lights were bother my eyes, my vision was blurry and everything was going too fast for me. That is the case…my depth perception is really bad right now, but I saw a specialist and she gave me some exercises, and hopefully, I can get better.”

Fournier also knows the timing of him getting sick right after the trade is “just unfortunate. People don’t really know my game here. For the first time in my career, I have a chance to make a really deep run in the playoffs. Finally with a great team. That I got COVID and I’m feeling like this, it’s heartbreaking to be honest.” Fournier also said that both Tatum and Brown seemed to be ok in the locker room after a late-game collision forced the two stars to leave the game.
