Evan Fournier was interviewed following the Celtics practice on game day as the team prepares for Game 3 against the Nets. Boston is trying to dig themselves out of a 2-0 hole.
On the comments from Kyrie Irving, Fournier didn’t make too much of it. “I don’t think Kyrie’s comments are going to change anything, to be honest” said Fournier. “I think they’re just excited man, they want to see us fight and they want to see us win.”
On playing at TD Garden, Fournier said “The mindset is easy, it’s we have to win…we have to win, we have to perform… it doesn’t really matter how we play…we just need to win…that’s the goal, that’s the mindset, we obviously don’t want to go down 3-0,”
On Marcus Smart and Brad Stevens’ comments about needing to play with more of an edge, Fournier said “It needs to be physical obviously, but we need to get every loose ball, every rebound…make them feel uncomfortable…we did a better job in Game 1 than in Game 2…we just have to put a good effort on both sides of the ball and we’ll be alright.”
