Madar flashed of his playmaking ability. Many fans have been anticipating watching Madar play all offseason, and vs the Hawks he showed up and put together eight points off 4-for-6 shooting over his 17 minutes of action, while sparking a 17-2 run to help Boston take the lead.
“It felt amazing,” Madar said postgame about playing an NBA game. “It’s a dream come true. Being on the floor, wearing that Celtics jersey, it’s amazing. It’s a blessing for me, for me family, representing them. It was great.”
Celtics Summer League coach, Mazzulla said Madar is finding his niche and is “great in pick-and-roll, he’s aggressive, and just trigger happy with making the right read, and that was one of the points of emphasis for him.”
