James Harden Game 3 Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Nets

James Harden was interviewed postgame after the Nets’ Game 3 loss vs the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. Harden talked about what went wrong defensively, whether or not Kyrie Irving got distracted by the crowd, and Tristan Thompson’s dominance of the offensive glass.

The Nets struggled on the defensive end of the floor in Game 3. Harden talked about what went wrong: “We stopped guarding, and when we stop guarding, teams are going to shoot the ball and get hot… early in the game we had the energy, we had the juice… we can’t allow that to happen.”

Harden also talked about whether or not Kyrie Irving was distracted by the crowd at TD Garden: “Not one bit of distraction… that wasn’t something that even crossed our minds… we gotta play better as a unit…. It’s going to be difficult… whatever we gotta do… just take it possession by possession… we let them line up threes, let them line up shots, and they made them tonight.”

Lastly, Harden was asked about Tristan Thompson’s offensive rebounding dominance, which posed major problems for the Nets: On TT
“Our initial defense with our pick n’ roll… that way we got a body on a body… but that’s what he does, that’s how he impacts the game.”
