Jaylen Brown was interviewed postgame after the Celtics’ comeback win vs the Spurs, 143-140. He talked about his teammate Jayson Tatum’s historic night, as well as his poor performance on the night.
Brown and Tatum shared a hug after the game and Brown was asked about the moment during his postgame press conference. “We didn’t even say no words,” said Brown. “We were just embracing each other… we needed every basket we could get tonight.”
He also spoke specifically about Tatum’s 60-point game, which tied Larry Bird’s franchise record. “That boy [Jayson Tatum] is destined for greatness,” he stated. “JT carried us to a win.”
Brown shot poorly in the game, going 5-24 from the field and 4-12 from three. He did manage to hit a clutch three, however, and was asked about the shot postgame. “I got unwavering confidence,” he said. “Constant belief in your work ethic, man.” Brown finished the game with 17 points.
