Jayson Tatum spoke with the media in his postgame interview following the Celtics loss. On his shooting struggles on the night, Tatum said “I feel like I had some good looks, tough shooting night, yeah. I mean give them credit…didn’t get something to fall down like I wanted to and it was tough.”
Boston was doing a solid job defensively against the Nets for big stretches of the game, but ultimately caved in crunch time. Tatum wasn’t too swayed in the wrong direction about the loss.
“Certainly some things we might have to change going forward, so you know we’re going to watch them tomorrow come back for the next game”
When asked about the adjustments the team needed to make, Tatum said “Pick your spots, be precise. Obviously you’re not going to play perfect every game but…make the right pass, make the right play…you gotta be quick…..loading up and helping, doubling or whatever it is. You just can’t relax, you can’t wait, you got to go…”
Tatum closed his presser with “It’s something that we definitely can build on….certainly a lot of things that we feel like we can improve on and help us connect on.”
