Jayson Tatum Game 4 Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Nets

Jayson Tatum was interviewed after the Celtics fell to the Brooklyn Nets. After the game, Kyrie Irving went out to center court and wiped his feet on the Celtics logo; shortly after, a fan threw a water bottle at his head as he was heading down the tunnel to the locker room. On Kyrie
stomping on the logo, Tatum said “I’m not [aware of it], I didn’t…first I’m hearing of that, I didn’t. I haven’t seen that video”
As for the fan who threw the water bottle, Tatum had gotten word of the incident. “I just heard about that before I sat down and I mean…18,000 people in the building, I guess in any arena there are a few bad seeds, you know? I don’t want that to overshadow the rest of the fans that came and supported us tonight. I was extremely happy to see that, but obviously there’s no place in the NBA for throwing bottles or throwing anything at a player, so I’m sure that they’ll handle that right away.”

On Brooklyn’s performance, Tatum said “They’re a really good team. We knew that coming into this series, it wasn’t going to be easy and I think just from game the game, it’s just about making adjustments and you know that’s what we’re going to do. Watch film, make the necessary adjustments that we feel like we need to make…get ready for the next one.”
On Boston’s effort and refusal to pack it in towards the end of the game, Tatum said it was about setting the right tone for the next game. “I think the message that I tell the rest of the guys is don’t worry about winning three in a row, just worry about winning the next one. It’s one game at a time…just get ready for the next game. Don’t look games ahead, you just get ready for the next one, which we will be and we’ll go from there.”
