TD Garden, Boston, Mass. — Brad Stevens was interviewed pregame before the Celtics take on the Nets in Game 3 of their first-round series at TD Garden. He gave an update on Kemba Walker’s knee injury which popped up on the injury report yesterday.
Stevens was asked about the injury, and whether or not it is related to the injury Walker has been dealing with all season. Although it is a new injury, Stevens did make sure to update the media on Walker’s status for tonight’s game. This was Steven’s report:
“Yeah he had a little bit of a pain from a specific moment in Game 2… had a little bit of a bone bruise in there… he was pretty sore yesterday… I think they’ve said he’s available… I told him to be very up front with me as he goes through it and how he feels… we only want him to play if he feels great, he’s healthy… we’ll be in touch before the game, the anticipation right now is that he plays.”
