Kemba Walker Postgame Interview | Celtics vs Wizards

TD Garden, Boston, Mass. — Kemba Walker was interviewed after the Celtics ousted the Wizards. When asked about the rest plan and how effective it’s been for Walker, he simply said “It ain’t over… the work isn’t over so until this thing ends I don’t know, I don’t want to jinx anything… I am feeling good, though… a lot of credit goes to the staff here… they get all the credit to be honest.”

On his 29 point performance and Tatum dropping 50 points, Walker said “He’s right about that [Tatum being MVP soon]… I played pretty well… Jayson was special, man, he was unbelievable… I’m here for the ride, it’s fun, it’s always exciting to see him go off the way he goes off.”

Walker was encouraged by his great performance, saying “It felt good man, it was a great win… the best thing about it is that we never lost our composure… came out with a big win.”

With the tough performance against the Brooklyn Nets coming up, Kemba said “We got to play hard, man, those guys are super talented… we got to play hard, we got to execute our offense… get ready for tomorrow, watch some film… see where we can take advantage, if possible.”

On his chemistry developing with Evan Fournier, Walker said “I’ve known Ev now for a couple years… he played for my old coach so we kind of have that connection… we just kind of hit it off right off the bat… Evan’s a great guy man.”
