Kevin Durant was interviewed postgame after the Nets’ 141-126 loss vs the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of their first-round matchup. Durant talked about the Nets’ improved offense, a fan throwing a water bottle at Kyrie Irving, and Irving’s bounce back game.
Durant was asked about the team’s improved offense after they struggled in Game 3. This was his response: “Yeah I think we were locked in on the defensive side of the ball… we didn’t force anything, we played within the offense… I think down the line we just played a nice, efficient game.”
A fan threw a water bottle at Irving after the game. Durant was asked about the incident and this was his response: “Fans gotta grow up at some point… when you come to these games you gotta realize, these men are human… it’s not all about you as a fan… have some respect for yourself… grow the fuck up and enjoy the game.”
Lastly, Durant commented on Irving’s massive bounce back game after struggling in Game 3: “Kyrie has been through some tough times in his life… him coming in here this is a sanctuary… everybody in between those lines respect him… he didn’t worry about the crowd… he came out here and wanted to just play better than he did last game.”
