TD Garden, Boston, Mass. — Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were interviewed postage after the Nets’ loss vs the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of their first-round series. Irving talked about the atmosphere in the building and what he thought of the crowd, while Tatum talked about the Nets’ defense and Jayson Tatum’s 50-point performance.
Irving was asked about the atmosphere at TD Garden in Game 3. This was his response: “We’re expecting a bigger crowd on Sunday… it was a great start to seeing what this environment is going to be like.” He continued on, referencing the comments he made earlier this week: “It’s basketball… as long as it’s just strictly the nature of basketball out there, there’s nothing extra, I’m cool with it… just wanna keep it straight basketball.”
Meanwhile, Durant commented on Brooklyn’s defense, as well as Jayson Tatum’s 50-point performance: “I feel like they made shots tonight… especially Tatum, he made some shots over us tonight… for a scorer like that to start to see the ball going through the rim… took the team to another level… we gotta be more physical with our switched… watch some film and see how we can get better.”
