The Boston Celtics welcomed the Milwaukee Bucks to TD Garden for Game 1 of their 2nd Round Series. The Celtics struggled with the Bucks physical defense after facing the Brooklyn Nets in the first round, and with poo shooting for Boston, it looked like it was going to be a long game. Ultimately, Boston fell to Milwaukee 101-89 in Game 1 of their series, and the Celtics will look to even the score on Tuesday at TD Garden.
“I don’t think our decision-making was great when we got to the paint.” said Head Coach Ime Udoka. “Whether it was drop-offs or kickouts. I thought Jayson and Jaylen were off their games and missed some that they usually make.”
“We have an opportunity now to learn from this game, see how we can be better as a group, and come out and do that Tuesday,” said Al Horford.
“There’s a lot of things we can take away from this. The series isn’t lost or won in Game 1. Credit to them,” said Jayson Tatum. “They played better than we did and they deserved to win. And they did.”
“We can’t lose our faith, can’t lose our resiliency and our confidence,” said Jaylen Brown. “We’ve gotta come out and play Celtics basketball.”
