Nic Claxton was interviewed after the Nets’ pregame practice ahead of Game 4 vs the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. He talked about Tristan Thompson’s dominance on the offensive glass, whether or not Game 4 is a must-win game, and the crowd at TD Garden.
Claxton matched up with Thompson a lot last game, where Thompson dominated the offensive glass. Claxton commented on that issue in his interview: “I think it’ll be a team effort to keep him off the glass… the biggest guy on the court is usually me or Blake… we all need to just get a body on him… he’s been a terror.”
The young big man was also asked about whether or not this game is a must-win for the Nets. This was his response: “I consider every playoff game a must-win game… the intensity level, you need every game… especially on the road… they say a playoff series doesn’t start until you get a win on the road.”
Lastly, Claxton commented on the crowd at TD Garden and whether or not they affected the Nets, and the effect they’ll have tonight with more fans in the building: “Last game, they definitely… they knocked down a ton of tough shots… we definitely need to be more physical… as a competitor that’s what you want, you want to go into these hostile environments… I think it’ll be fine.”
