The New England Patriots are making moves. Both in the offseason and in regards to their Super Bowl betting odds according to the online sports book Betonline.ag.

The Patriots recent flurry of deals has improved the team’s odds to take home the Lombardi Trophy next season. Their odds have jumped from +3300 to +2200. They are +1600 to win come out of the AFC. Their AFC East odds are tied with the Dolphins for second behind the reigning AFC East champion Buffalo Bills.

Key Additions: WR Nelson Agholor, WR Kendrick Bourne, DB Jalen Mills, TE Hunter Henry, TE Jonnu Smith, DT Davon Godchaux, DT Henry Anderson, LB Matthew Judon, LB Kyle Van Noy, OT Trent Brown, C Ted Karras, DE Montravius Adams

Players Retained: QB Cam Newton, DB Justin Bethel, DE Deatrich Wise, C David Andrews, K Nick Folk.

The Patriots are also getting back LB Dont’a Hightower and RB Brandon Bolden who sat out last season with Covid. Marcus Cannon and Patrick Chung also skipped last season. Cannon was traded to the Texans and Chung decided to retire.

With all the moves made during free agency, the Patriots Super Bowl odds have increased. @ezlazar & @mariahjanos discuss the too early to tell odds.

Breakdown: While the Patriots Super Bowl odds have moved they are not considered a serious contender. Not yet.

There are are still 9 teams with more favorable championship odds. The main reason. Quarterback. The Patriots are not and will not be considered a serious threat to make it to the Super Bowl with Cam Newton as their quarterback.

Now it remains possible that the Patriots will still make a move at quarterback. Whether it be to trade up in the draft for someone like Trey Lance or wait out the 49ers for Jimmy Garoppolo.

If you think that’s the case, head over to Betonline.ag and lock in your bets now.
