Notebook
- Javon Baker worked with the starting offense while two groups worked on opposite fields. Fellow sophomore Ja’Lynn Polk worked with the second unit.
- Demontrey Jacobs and Marcus Bryant both took snaps at right tackle following Morgan Moses’ departure early in practice.
- Vederian Lowe took snaps at both left and right tackle with the backup offense. Lowe has looked significantly more comfortable on the left, but could be the Patriots’ best swing tackle option.
- Jabrill Peppers told reporters he’s adding to his game by watching former Colts safety Bob Sanders. Sanders is one of the most underrated players of his era and compares to Peppers in terms of size and skill set.
- Kayshon Boutte pointed to being in shape at the start of training camp and increased comfort two years removed from ankle surgery as primary reasons for his improved year three. Boutte is in the midst of his most consistent summer in the NFL and is a virtual roster lock.
