Despite Boston’s recent struggles, Evan Fournier looks like his old self again. After recovering from COVID, the French swingman went through a rough patch shooting-wise. Not only has he recovered from a said rough patch, but he’s been a top-three scorer in the team lately.
Fournier’s 21.2 PPG over the last five games ranks third on the team. He also ranks top five in APG (5.2) and RPG (4.6) over that stretch. Despite this, his shooting percentages may be his most impressive stats. In the last five games, Fournier is shooting 62.1% from the field and 61.8% from deep.
The Garden Report discusses Fournier’s impact on the game right now, as well as what it could look like in the future. Bobby Manning brought up the idea of paying Fournier “whatever he wants” in the offseason, but the rest of the crew pushed back on that notion.
