Jayson Tatum was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 101-99 win vs the New York Knicks. He talked about the comments made by the media in recent weeks as well as teammates Jaylen Brown and Tristan Thompson.
“We just talked about trying to get back on track… get back in the win column and forget about the last game,” said Tatum. Boston was able to take home a gutsy win tonight against the Knicks after suffering a tough loss to the 76ers just last night. “The outside noise, that’s always going to be there.”
Tatum said that “it was great to have him [Tristan Thompson] back.” He said that the team “missed him a lot – just his presence out there and how physical he is.” Thompson had a great night in his return to the team.
The two-time All-Star also spoke about a conversation he had with running mate Jaylen Brown. “We’re both two driven individuals,” he said. Tatum and Brown led the way in scoring for the Celtics tonight with 25 and 32 points, respectively.
