Celtics reporter Noa Dalzell projects why Payton Pritchard and Hugo Gonzalez are the two Celtics who are most likely to leap next season. A closer look at Payton Pritchard’s numbers without Jaylen Brown on the floor last season, plus some thoughts on why Hugo Gonzalez is poised for a sophomore leap.

Payton Pritchard is coming off a season in which he started the most games in his NBA career making 50 starts and also averaged career high in points averaging 17. Noa believes their is still another level to his game that he hasn’t even reached yet and with Jaylen Brown out from the Celtics she believes Pritchard could unlock even more in his offensive game if he’s inserted into the starting lineup.

The Celtics 1st round pick last year Hugo Gonzalez had a year that saw be in and out of the rotation. Despite the minutes not always potentially being there for the young player he did still manage to play in 74 games and even made 3 starts. While Gonzalez’s rookie numbers might not wow you Noa believes theirs another level to his game that has yet to be unlocked.
