Celtics Fan Water Bottle Incident Another Blemish for Boston

“It’s unfortunate that sports has come to a lot of this kind of crossroads. … Just underlying racism and just treating people like they’re in a human zoo,” says Nets Guard, Kyrie Irving regarding the fan who threw a water bottle at him while leaving the court during game 4 of the NBA playoff Nets vs Celtics series.

Celtics fan Cole Buckley, the 21-year-old suspect who allegedly threw a water bottle at Kyrie Irving, has been charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and will be arraigned Tuesday in Boston Municipal Court. Buckley also has been banned from returning to the TD Garden for life.
