The Celtics welcomed the Heat to TD Garden for a rematch of Sunday’s game but ultimately lost again to Miami 129-121.
Miami had six players in double figures on the night, and the trio of Dragic, Robinson, and Herro combined for the majority of Miami’s three-point scoring, hitting 14 of 23 from range.
Boston was led by Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, and Evan Fournier, combining for 13 of 26 from deep, and 89 of Boston’s 121 points.
The Celtics failed to defend Miami’s three-point shooters, and their poor perimeter defense has been a common trend across the board this season. Brad Stevens spoke on the team’s defensive lapses in comparison to years past.
Tith the win, Miami has clinched no lower than the 6th seed, and Boston is all but certainly bound for the play-in tournament. The C’s have a quick turnaround to play the Cavaliers tonight and will play again on Saturday against the Timberwolves before bringing the regular season to a close on Sunday vs the Knicks.
