The Celtics take on the Wizards tonight in the first-ever NBA play-in tournament. Boston won two of three matchups vs Washington this season.
Jayson Tatum spoke to the media after the Celtics’ shootaround this morning. He commented on the overall mentality of the team going into tonight’s game.
He had this to say on the subject: “I think we still have expectations, regardless of what people think should happen… we believe in ourselves still, we know the season isn’t over with… we still have the utmost confidence in each and every guy in that locker room.”
The Wizards ended their season 10-5 while the Celtics ended their’s 5-10.
Tatum averaged 22.0 points per game vs the Wizards this season, but his longtime friend Bradley Beal got the best of him in that department. Beal averaged 40.7 points per game vs the Celtics this season. The game is set to tip-off at 9 PM tonight on TNT.
