Kevin Durant was interviewed postgame after the Brooklyn Nets’ 123-109 win vs the Boston Celtics that clinched the series victory, 4-1. Durant spoke about the team’s next opponent in Giannis Antetokounmpo, the big three’s chemistry, and James Harden’s impact on the team.
Durant was asked about Antetokounmpo and the potential problems he poses: “He’s long, athletic and plays hard… he cares about his teammates, he cares about winning… his game is expanding… we got our work cut out for us… we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
He also spoke about the overall chemistry of the big three, and how fun it is to play with them: “I mean it’s exciting… but to play against the best players in the world, on this stage… with guys I came up with in the league… it’s definitely cool… I’m trying to get out there and get work done… it is fun playing with two guys who pretty much do everything on the basketball court.”
Lastly, Durant talked about Harden’s impact on the team: “He’s looking to get guys shot… his energy, he comes into the gym everyday and just his excitement to play basketball… his energy is infectious.”
