Patriots Bucs Postgame Show; A Heartbreaking Loss for Patriots

FOXBORO, MA — The return of Tom Brady lived up toe the hype but in the end, it was Brady and the Bucs who pulled out a 19-17 win over Bill Belichick and the Patriots in Foxboro.

Evan Lazar who covered the game live for CLNS Media and John Zannis break down the loss. WATCH the FULL Video Here:

The Patriots had a shot to win but kicker Nick Folk’s 56 yard field goal attempt doinked off the left upright with 1:02 left in game.

On the drive before, Brady was able to lead a game-winning drive that set up a Ryan Succop for a 48-yard field goal to take the lead. Despite their best efforts, the Patriots just couldn’t answer.

Patriots quarterback Mac Jones outplayed his counterpart Tom Brady for most of the game.

Jones completed 31-of-40 attempts (77.5%) for 274 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

“Yeah, I do. I think we moved in the right direction,” Jones said. “You know, we made plays and played hard the whole game and I turned the ball over. That’s one of the problems, you know, turnovers can kill you, and you know if you turn the ball over — If you don’t turn the ball over, you have a 90-something percent chance to win, and it’s just statistics but I have thought we moved the ball, passing well and the run game needs to improve and we’ll come up with ways to do that. I thought everyone fought really hard. It sucks we lost but yeah, look at it, like you said, that we’re making some progress.”

The Buccaneers improve to 3–1 while the loss dropped the Patriots to 1–3 on the year.
